- Vice President: Assists with organizing volunteers and events, or with other activities as needed. Attends PTO fundraisers and events as needed. Conducts meetings in the President’s absence.
- Secretary: Keeps minutes of all meetings, writes letters/emails, creates flyers, and maintains a record of correspondence. Also maintains the PTO website, email account, listserve, and social media.
To submit a nomination for the 2022-2023 Executive Board (yes, you can nominate yourself!), fill out this online form or send an email to Holly Keating, Office of Family Engagement Program Aide for Huntington, at [email protected] no later than 3:00 p.m. on April 28. This email should include “PTO Board nomination” in the subject line, and the text of the email should indicate: your name and contact information, student’s grade level(s), and the position you are interested in (Secretary or Vice President). Voting for all Executive Board positions will take place at the May 12 PTO meeting (6:30 p.m., to be held in the Huntington library).
The Executive Board meets regularly once a month throughout the year (in addition to the general PTO meetings), or more frequently if needed. Executive Board meetings are typically held on a weekday evening, depending on the Board members’ availability.
