All funds should be used to enrich the educational experience of your students.
Please submit a request for funds PRIOR to purchasing supplies/services. Requests for reimbursement after purchases have been made are strongly discouraged.
Fund request instructions:
To access funds from your class or grade-level account…
Funds from your class account do not need to be approved by the PTO membership, but you must submit a request form so that we have a record of the request for accounting purposes.
To access funds from the general PTO account…
Expenditures from the general PTO account must be reviewed by the PTO Executive Board and approved by the general membership. The Board will determine if the request is an eligible expense and, if so, will bring the request to the general PTO membership for a vote.

To access funds from your class or grade-level account…
Funds from your class account do not need to be approved by the PTO membership, but you must submit a request form so that we have a record of the request for accounting purposes.
- Complete the form titled “Huntington School PTO Request for Funds From Class Account.” (Hard-copies available in the office near the PTO mailbox.)
- Print the form and place it in the PTO mailbox in the Main Office, or email the completed form to [email protected].
- Please submit all receipts to the PTO as soon as possible. If no receipt is available, please submit a note explaining how the funds were expended.
To access funds from the general PTO account…
Expenditures from the general PTO account must be reviewed by the PTO Executive Board and approved by the general membership. The Board will determine if the request is an eligible expense and, if so, will bring the request to the general PTO membership for a vote.
- Complete the form titled “Huntington School PTO Request for Funds From General PTO Account.” (Hard-copies available in the office near the PTO mailbox.)
- SUBMIT THE FORM BY 2:00 P.M. ON THE DAY OF A PTO BOARD MEETING. PTO Board meeting dates for the 2019-2020 school year are: TBD. Fund requests received after 2:00 p.m. on these dates may be held for consideration until the following month. You may print the form and place it in the PTO mailbox in the Main Office, or email the completed form to [email protected].
- You are strongly encouraged to attend the general PTO meeting at which your request will be considered to answer any questions from PTO members. The general meetings occur one week after the Board meeting dates listed above. When questions arise that cannot be answered at the meeting, fund requests may be tabled until the following meeting.
- Receipts for expenditures of PTO general funds must be submitted to the PTO Board as soon as possible.
